Colour = Strength — What the pack colours mean
Red / Original — Full strength
Silver — Full strength (some brands)
Blue — Mid strength (most popular)
Green — Light or menthol-style
White / Silver — Ultra light
Purple — Light (Silk Cut)
How to Suggest an Alternative — Quick Rules
1. Match the strength first
A Red/Silver smoker won't want a Gold. Always match the colour/strength before the brand.
2. Match the price tier
Don't suggest Marlboro to a Richmond customer — offer Sovereign or Paramount instead.
3. Match the size
KS (King Size) and SK (Superkings) are not interchangeable for most smokers. Ask which they prefer.
4. Same manufacturer helps
Brands from the same company (e.g. L&B → Players, both Imperial) often share similar tobacco blends.
5. Always ask, don't assume
"We're out of that — would you like to try [X]? It's a similar strength and price." Customers appreciate the help.
6. KS vs SK reminder
KS = King Size (standard ~84mm). SK = Superkings (longer ~100mm). Some brands sell both.
